Sweat + Networking = #Sweatworking

Each month, Chicago blog ASweatLife.com hosts #Sweatworking, an event giving Chicagoans an opportunity to be active while also meeting cool new people like @erin_does_exercise.  I had the pleasure of attending my very first event on Saturday, October 24, 2015.  This month's activity took place at the historic -and wickedly awesome- Chicago Athletic Association and was taught by On Your Mark owner and Nike Training Master, Emily Hutchins.  (In other words, Emily is an esteemed professional badass.)

During the 45 minute workout, Emily worked us. Hard.  Without equipment or weights, no less.  High knees, speed skaters, drop squats, bridges, lunges, planks, tuck jumps and burpees consumed our time and brought the sweat to #Sweatworking.  Have you ever slipped in sweat while trying to do mountain climbers?  I have.  I can 100% verify that this was the toughest workout I've ever faced in a group setting.

When the hard part was finally over, we were treated to brunch from Kitch Fix which featured blueberry waffles, mini frittatas and fresh fruit.  To be completely honest, I was shocked how tasty it was given everything was palao as well as dairy and gluten-free. Additionally, all participants received a #Sweatworking swag bag with Propel Electrolyte Water,  Skinny Pop, Mamma Chia, Luna Bars, and a sparkling sake wine.  Yes, you read that correctly. ASweatLife knows how to win this lady's heart.

After sitting vacant for decades, the hotel was restored and opened to the public.
It is a magnificent space.

Inside the hotel is a rooftop bar called Cindy's. It offers amazing
views of Chicago's most popular and well maintained parks.

Experience #Sweatworking for yourself when ASweatLife goes to Shred 415 and YogaSix on November 21st.  Click here for more details.  I can't wait to see you there!
